Michigan Football's Zeke Berry Takes Lessons from Mike Sainristil into 2024
Berry, a rising junior wide receiver, has emerged as a leader on the team and is eager to make an impact in the upcoming season.
Zeke Berry, a rising junior wide receiver for the Michigan Wolverines, is looking to make a big impact in the 2024 season. After a breakout sophomore campaign, Berry is taking lessons from former teammate Mike Sainristil, who is now a cornerback for the New Orleans Saints.
Berry and Sainristil have a close relationship and have been working out together this offseason.
Berry said he has learned a lot from Sainristil, both on and off the field. "Mike is a great role model," Berry said. "He's a hard worker and he's always willing to help others. I'm really grateful for his friendship and guidance."
Sainristil said he is confident that Berry will be a star for the Wolverines in 2024. "Zeke is a talented player with a great work ethic," Sainristil said. "He's also a great teammate and I'm excited to see what he accomplishes this season."
Berry is looking to build on his success from last season, when he caught 25 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns.
He was also a key contributor on special teams, returning 12 punts for 110 yards. Berry said he is focused on improving his all-around game this offseason. "I want to be more consistent in my route running and my hands," Berry said. "I also want to be more physical and aggressive at the line of scrimmage."
Berry is confident that he can be a key contributor for the Wolverines in 2024. "I'm excited for the upcoming season," Berry said. "I think we have a great team and I'm ready to do my part to help us win a championship."
